When You Walk Through, Not Around

Isaiah 43:2 :”When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.”

Notice what God does not promise. He does not promise dry ground. He does not promise a detour. He does not promise that the waters will part before you ever get your feet wet.
He promises through.

There is something profoundly honest about this verse. God is not selling a faith that removes all hardship. He is offering a Presence that accompanies us into it. The waters are real. The rivers are real. But so is He ….and His company changes everything about the crossing.

You may be in the middle of something right now that prayer has not yet removed. You asked for a way around and found yourself waist-deep anyway. That is not evidence of abandonment. It may be the very terrain where God proves Himself most real to you.
The promise is not comfort from a distance. It is company in the flood.
He is with you in the water. Keep walking through.
