The Name Written Before You Were Named

Jeremiah 1:5 : “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.”

Before your parents chose your name, God knew yours.
Before your first breath, before your first cry, before anyone in the world had any idea you were coming…God had already been acquainted with you. Already set you apart. Already purposed you for something that required you specifically to exist.

This is not a verse about Jeremiah alone. It is a window into how God works ….which is to say, backwards from eternity into time. What we experience as surprise, God has always known. What we stumble into as calling, He has long prepared.

The enemy works hard to make you feel accidental. Like a mistake. Like someone who slipped through the cracks of significance and has been trying to prove their worth ever since. Like your story began with your birth and might end without much meaning.

Scripture tells a different story entirely. Your existence was not an afterthought. You were known before you were formed. Sanctified before you were born. Called before you could answer.

You are not an accident. You are an answer …. to a question God was already asking before the world began.
Walk in that. It changes everything.
