Nothing Hidden, Nothing Wasted

Proverbs 5:21:
“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.”


Chapter 5 is a warning against sexual sin, but this verse widens the lens: nothing is hidden from God, not because He’s an anxious watchman looking to catch you, but because He is intimately present in every “going” … every step, every decision, every private moment.
This can feel uncomfortable until you realize it’s actually good news. A God who sees everything is also a God who can be trusted with everything …. including the parts of your life you’d rather keep in the dark. Nothing you carry in secret is a surprise to Him, and nothing is beyond His care.


Prayer: Lord, You see it all already. Help me stop hiding and start bringing every part of my life into Your light. Amen.

Leaning on More Than Yourself

Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”


Perhaps the most quoted verse in all of Proverbs ….and for good reason. It doesn’t say your understanding is worthless; it says don’t lean on it, don’t make it your final support. Your understanding is partial. God’s is not.
Notice the word “all”: all your heart, all your ways. Not just the spiritual parts of life, not just Sunday. Your calendar, your finances, your text messages … all of it, acknowledged before Him. The promise isn’t that life gets easy; it’s that He directs the path. Direction implies movement, and movement implies trust before you can see the whole way.


Prayer: Lord, I don’t have to understand everything to trust You. Direct my path today, even the ordinary parts of it. Amen.

He Makes All Things New

Revelation 21:5 : “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”


This is the last great promise of scripture … spoken from the throne, by the One who sits on it, at the end of all things and the beginning of what comes next.
All things new.
Not all new things. Not a replacement set of different things. The same things … this broken world, these scarred people, this groaning creation …made new. Restored. Renewed. Brought to what they were always supposed to be before the fracture happened.
The gospel is not an evacuation plan. It is a restoration project. God is not abandoning His creation ….He is reclaiming it. Every tear wiped away. Every death undone. Every wound healed. Every wrong set right. The former things passed away not because they didn’t matter but because something better has arrived to replace them.
This promise sits at the end of the story … but it casts its light backward over every page. Every hard chapter you are living through is part of a story that ends here. Every grief that seems permanent is temporary in the light of what is coming.
He makes all things new. He has said so from the throne.
And these words, He declares, are true and faithful.
You can build your life on them.
