The Economy of Generosity

Proverbs 11:25:
“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”

There’s a spiritual law embedded here that runs against instinct: generosity doesn’t deplete you, it fills you. The person who waters others finds themselves watered in return … not always by the same person, not always immediately, but by the God who governs the exchange.
Scarcity thinking says: hold on tight, give sparingly, protect what’s yours. Proverbs says the opposite economy is actually true. Who could you water today … with time, encouragement, or resources …trusting that generosity is never wasted?

Prayer: God, loosen my grip on what I have. Let me become the kind of person who waters others freely. Amen.
